Mirror Mirror on the Wall - Save Lives with Traffic Mirrors - 11th Traffic idu article

We do not usually work on Traffic Safety articles, for our focus is Simplified Education.

But since I am a fairly active daily driver for so many years, I do get agitated not expressing theses problems and suggest good solutions, as

I simply could not understand how in today's advanced technological age, we still lack simple technological traffic solutions.

This is our 11th article on Traffic Solutions since we start publishing them since 2012, and this article is related to

a 2013 article entitled:

"Driving 20 Miles Per hr Speed Limit (not 30!!)in Suburbs to Save Lives!??!"

In that article, on roads (especially the suburbs where all looks quiet and safe, it is not!)  with no traffic lights and stop signs,  we stated the problem of not being able to react and stop the car if we are driving too  fast - above 25 or 30 mph -  and if our sight for cars moving from left to right perpendicular to our lane is blocked by cars parked on the left side of our lane. That is why 20 mph is the safe speed for such streets, giving us time to react.

An alternative solution is to place  physical mirrors on tall poles on the right side corner of the road so we can see the incoming cars from the left.

This may sound expensive but a good solution as speed limit signs are not always posted and drivers sometimes disobey or forget to slow down on these quite but dangerous streets.
